Holidays at Alta Badia in the Dolomites
The geographic situation in the midst of the beautiful Dolomites makes Alta Badia an ideal destination for all pleasure- and activity vacationists. Let yourself and your family be enchanted by Alta Badia's landscape!
The mountain chain which extends south of the Alps and is embedded in between Pustertal Valley in the North and Belluno in the South is characterized by the Dolomite's bizarre escarpments. Particularly impressive is Sella massif from which the four Ladin valleys extend radial to all four points of the compass: Gader Valley at the North, Groeden Valley, Fassa Valley and Buchenstein.
Alta Badia is the southern part of Gader Valley and lies within a spacious, sun-drenched basin in the heart of the Dolomites. It is embedded in fields and woods, framed by the mighty rock faces of Sella, Sassongher, Gardenacia and the Heilig Kreuz Kofel and surrounded by the nature parks Puez Geisler and Fanes Sennes Prags.
Alta Badia, land of the Ladins, has kept its centuries-old tradition up to the present day. The region from Alta Badia has been one of the most attractive holiday destinations for many years. Nevertheless it has entirely preserved its abundance of natural beauties.
The sunnily located spot La Villa / Stern in which Hotel Dolomiti is placed is central gateway to the two nature parks of Puez Geisler and Fanes Sennes Prags. Beneath Hotel Dolomiti the very challenging piste of Gran Risa is located, on which every year in the middle of December the best skiers of the world compete with each other.Even in the winter holiday families with children feel fine here: ski-kindergarten and care for the kids are self-evident. For children La Villa in Alta Badia furthermore provides "baby"-lifts.
A further attraction at Alta Badia is the sports zone with its football field, tennis- and volleyball court in the center of Gran Risa placed nearby the Hotel Dolomiti. Particularly children enjoy the adjacent duck's pond and the playground.
